Cindy J. (Smith) Hauschild

Cindy J. Hauschild, 60, of South Bend, Indiana formerly of La Porte, Indiana passed away Monday, February 19, 2018.  She was born January 21, 1958 in Lafayette, Indiana to Chester and JoAnn (Lemming) Smith.  Cindy was a homemaker and graduated from La Porte High School in 1976.

On June 27, 1981 Cindy married Jim “Haus” Hauschild who survives.  Cindy is also survived by her father, Chester Smith of La Porte; her children, Monica Maike of South Bend, Erica Hauschild of South Bend, Travis Hauschild of Lihue, Hawaii; grandchildren, Cody and Cory Pennington; and siblings, Terri (David) Ahlberg of Valparaiso, Tammy (Jim) Wilkinson of La Porte, Kevin (Debbie) Smith of La Porte; and a sister-in-law, Sue Bailey of Osceola, Indiana. 

A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday, February 24, 2018, at Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana, where family and friends may visit from 3-5 p.m. prior to the service. PLEASE NOTE, ALL TIMES ARE C.S.T.
