Becky L. (Young) Downs

Becky L. Downs, 65, of La Porte Indiana passed away Saturday, November 26, 2016.  Becky was born, June 27, 1951 to Carl and Freda (Rensberger) Young. 

Becky was retired as a medical billing representative.  She married Robert E. Gaekle.  On October 9, 1994, she married Randall C. Downs who preceded her in death on November 27, 2004.

Becky graduated in 1970 from La Porte High School and she enjoyed crafts.

Becky leaves behind a son, Christopher (Amy) Gaekle of Louisville, Kentucky; a daughter, Alivia (Barbie) (Troy) Walker of Kingsford Heights, Indiana; four sisters, Shelia (Dave) Stoewer of La Porte, Karla (Jody) Schoff of La Porte, Shelley (Rip) Ludlow of La Porte, and Anita (Pat) Sightes of La Porte; a step-son, Ronald Downs of La Porte; grandchildren, Avery, Ayden, Arlaux, Atticus, Aramiss, Wade, and Kayanna of La Porte, Kacie, Kaitlyn, and Brandon of Louisville, Kentucky; a great granddaughter, Ava of  Vincennes, Indiana; and many nieces, nephews; and her extended family in Louisville, Kentucky. 

Becky was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Randall, and granddaughter, Arissa Gaekle. 

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, November 30, 2016, at Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana, where visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. prior to the funeral. 

Burial will be in Carmel Cemetery at a later date.
