Allie Walter Justice

Allie Walter Justice, 82, of LaPorte, Indiana, passed away Sunday, June 19, 2016.  Allie was born January 19, 1934 in Paris, Kentucky to Walter T. and Ruth (Cooper) Justice.  He retired after 45 years of service with Dye Plumbing & Heating.  In 1956, Allie married Diane A. Schutz who preceded him in death on March 13, 2007. 

Allie graduated from Union Mills School in 1952.  He served in the United States Army during the Korean War.  He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, the Local 150 Operating Engineer’s International Union, the V.F.W. Post 1130 La Porte, Indiana and the American Legion La Porte, Indiana.

Allie is survived by one son, Mark (Mari-Helen) Justice of LaPorte, Indiana; three daughters, Julia (Tim) Walters of Brownsburg, Indiana; Janet Justice of Michigan City, Indiana, and Johanna Justice of LaPorte, Indiana; seven grandchildren, Allie Justice, Sarah (Micah) Spitzmesser, Nicholas Walters, Joshua (Mandi) Walters, Amanda Walters (Tyler) Fritcha, Anthony Catchings II and Ashlee Bluhm; seven great-grandchildren, T.J., Ryan, Myla, and Henry Walters, Marcus, McKenna and Sam Spitzmesser; one brother, Mike Justice of Union Mills, Indiana; two sisters, Patricia Gerrich of La Porte, Indiana and Ruby (Lyle) Bliss of Janesville, Wisconsin; several cousins and many nieces and nephews.  He is also survived by his dog and faithful companion, Daisy. 

Allie was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Diane; one sister, Deborah (Justice) Haney; and two nephews, Jimmy Perry and Gary Bass.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, June 23, 2016 at the Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, ESSLING CHAPEL, 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana, where a Parish Wake service will be at 6:30 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, June 24, 2016 at St. Peter Catholic Church.  Family and friends may gather at 9 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
