As our backyard neighbor, Al has a special place in our hearts. Thank you for the vegetables you hung on our fence from your garden, for the wonderful talks as you walked by our house, but most of all thank you for being such a great man! Love Scott & Jill

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Lenard family. I always enjoyed my conversations with Al whenever I ran into him. We also have many memories of good times at the bar. Still carry on some New Year's Eve traditions.

To the entire Lenard family - my prayers are with all of you at this time of sadness. Al and Anne were top notch people. Recalling some of events on Warsaw St. allows a smile during this sad time. It's great to be able to look back on all the wonderful
times Al & Anne provided for so many people. RIP Al & Anne as your together once more.

The Family of Al: So sorry to hear of Al's passing and the Bernacchi family always thought highly of Al as a real friend and his restaurant was always an enjoyable place to spent an evening. He and Anne regardless of how busy they were, always had time to chat .A great person and citizen of La Porte and he will never be forgotten.

My sincere condolences to the Lenard family. Al, and Annie, were and will always be

Saddened by the news of Al's passing, my thoughts, prayers, and condolences to his family. I have fond memories of the wonderful fun times spent at Al's bar, he was truly a class act that always lifted my spirits - both in personality and drink! All that knew him were fortunate and honored to have been able to share a life with an incredible guy, truly one of a kind that will be missed.

My prayers are with all of you. Thinking back to the old days on Warsaw with Grandma Starzyk. Hanging in the kitchen with them and getting popcorn and eating it at the bar. The beautiful sombrero on the wall. Fred and Charlie. Great memories. He always made me feel like part of the family and I hold that close to the heart.

Al & Anne were such nice people! We used to love to go to dinner at their place. When I was pregnant with my daughter, the only thing I craved was Anne's homemade salad dressings! I would buy it weekly from her. RIP Al.
